Training trips to Okinawa have been a dojo tradition for years. The next trip is planned for October 2027.

Train where karate began

Okinawa is the home of Goju Ryu and of karate itself. The dojo goes back to train with Okinawan teachers and take part in the island's karate events. The most recent trip, in 2025, included:

  • Okinawa Karate Day
  • The World Budosai
  • Training with Taira Sensei and Hokama Sensei

Every trip starts in a regular class

Your first class is free. Book it on Shindo, or walk in Monday to Thursday, 4 to 9 PM, at the Old Bridge dojo.
